Americans Don't Trust 3 Letter Agencies Anymore
Each day former leaders of our nation's institutions like Hayden & Strzok are working overtime to convince the American people that the FBI, DOJ,DHS, IRS, CIA, & NSA are being weaponized against them.
Wonder why the American people don’t trust the FBI, DOJ, or CIA anymore? Just follow the Twitter accounts of former CIA Director Micheal Hayden and former FBI Deputy Director Peter Strzok—it won’t take you long to figure out that YOU’RE their enemy.
The American people are far more forgiving and understanding than we sometimes give them credit for being. While unprecedented and shocking most Americans were willing to give the Department of Justice the benefit of the doubt when they raided the former president’s home. Many of us couldn’t imagine what could justify that sort of action and even those of us who support the former president was open to the possibility something very serious was going on.
But almost immediately the DOJ, who promised Americans they would ONLY speak through their filings, broke their word and told reporters at the Washington Post that the former president ‘might’ have had sensitive nuclear secrets in his basement. For more than six years the DOJ and FBI, speaking through leaks to The New York Times and Washington Post, told the American people there was rock solid evidence that President Trump had colluded with the Russians—after impeaching the president not once but twice and undermining his entire agenda and administration for four years no such evidence was ever produced—it was all a lie. As a result, the American people are rightfully skeptical of the DOJ and FBI.
After the media began repeating the DOJ’s Washington Post leak the skepticism only grew. In addition to the ‘nuclear secrets’ seized from the former president’s home Americans were further outraged to learn that the FBI unlawfully seized attorney-client privileged documents, various highly personal items, and even three of the president’s passports. To his credit, sensing the escalating partisan rancor, President Trump contacted Attorney General Garland and offered his help to reduce the nation’s temperature. In response, former FBI Deputy Director Peter Strzok publicly attacked the former president questioning why he possessed multiple passports and even accusing him of having a Russian passport that he keeps in a Moscow suburb.1 It is no wonder that most Americans now view the FBI as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo.2
Not to be outdone, former CIA Director Michael Hayden—known for routinely lying to the American people, the media, the courts, and even Congress—doubled down on the Washington Post leak story claim that President Trump was selling our nation’s nuclear secrets to Russia. He called on President Biden to execute the former president just as the Rosenbergs had been executed for selling nuclear secrets to the Russians last century.3 He then called out the ENTIRE Republican Party for holding the most extreme and violent ideology of any group in the world. He called the GOP the most nihilistic, dangerous & contemptible political force in history—worse than even the 1930s Nazi Party.4
In the early days of 2017 the executive director of the Freedom of the Press Foundation, Trevor Timm wrote an article in the Columbia Journalism Review titled “Stop treating former CIA chief Michael Hayden as an arbiter of truth” where he argued:
“It doesn’t matter what cable channel you prefer—CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News, what talk show you watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Real Time with Bill Maher, or website you read The New York Times, Washington Post, or The Wall Street Journal, [Michael] Hayden is everywhere, commenting on the day’s news, while inevitably being portrayed as Mr. Reasonable: a post-partisan straight shooter who will tell you How It Really Works. But members of the media who play along with this fantasyland portrayal of Hayden should be embarrassed. Hayden has a long history of making misleading and outright false statements, and by the estimation of many lawyers, likely committed countless felonies during the Bush administration. It is something of a wonder that someone responsible for so many reprehensible acts is now considered a totally above-the-fray, honest commentator on all issues intelligence.”5
Fast forward to 2022 and the former CIA Director is routinely jumping into the fray claiming the Republican Party is the greatest risk to Democracy on the planet, that the Texas governor should be tried for seditious conspiracy for the January 6th riots, and even that President Trump should be executed6 for keeping presidential records in his home. Employed by CNN America’s top spy discredits the agency he headed day after day.
It is time for America's mainstream media outlets to 'deplatform' people like Peter Strzok and Michael Hayden. It is one thing if they are willing to remain neutral and nonpartisan and help the American people understand the inner workings of institutions like the FBI or the CIA—it is quite another to have them proactively attacking conservatives and Republicans. These unhinged former G-Men do more damage to our nation than any of our enemies could possibly hope to accomplish. It is time for Hayden and Strzok to retire.
To that end, I’ve created a few memes for you to share. Enjoy!
