Those who instigate resistance (largely a defensive act) but then escalate things to the next level, i.e.combat (an offensive act), subject themselves to a much heightened risk of injury or death. Such was the case here with the trained, motivated and indoctrinated individual who paid dearly. Sad, yes. Preventable, yes.
