I'll admit, I thought the food assistance program was federally controlled. Silly me, just pay and don't ask questions.

Much of the article could easily apply to voting, vetting and assuring voters are eligible and legal. There is no reason all federally elected positions comply with federal voting laws.

If we are required to pay taxes without any representation that is straight up theft. The fact that these states refuse to turn over their records means they need to be cut off from the funds until they comply. Waste, fraud and abuse is what we elected Trump to get rid of and yet all these blue states and sanctuary cities fight the administration on every move. I truly despise both the GOP and Democrats; I think we are truly doomed when Trump is gone.

What about another Biden regime being in charge of the entire system? What would Mamdani do with it? If either had their way, there would be 420 million collecting - around the world, not 42.

Let's look at why it is there and why taxpayers are expected to continually serve the poor - for NOTHING in return - and decide just how much the producers owe the refusers.

What about the fact that welfare payments from the federal government are unconstitutional? Or does that not matter anymore? As a taxpayer, I’m very disappointed with amuse for completely ignoring this obvious problem.

I do not buy SNAP at all. We have too many overlapping welfare programs. Why not just have one federal program addressing the needs of the country’s disabled and poor. Anything that governments give away will continually increase demand and the black market economy. I do understand there are many in poverty through no fault of their own, but I personally know of others who just ride the government handout train with great agility and skill. If you are worried about parents buying cell phones, tobacco, and alcohol instead of food for their children, provide healthy meal programs at public schools. Financially secure parents will send their kids to school with packed meals anyway, leaving more funds for better meals for others. Redundancy is the fuel of larger government.

Yesterday I saw an interview with a woman who has been getting food stamps for 30 years. I'm sick of the deadbeats. 42 million people, not 42 million Americans are getting food stamps. Get rid of the illegals and the bums.
