Ray Epps is the Only Person Exonerated by the House Select Committee on the January 6th Attack.
The Former Oath Keeper Chapter President is being painted as an innocent victim by the media despite the fact that he helped instigate the attack on the Capitol.
The United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack (J6 Committee)1 has exonerated only one man in their never-ending search for the truth - former Oath Keeper Arizona Chapter President Ray Epps. The 65-year-old former militia member from Queen Creek, Arizona was captured on Video on January 5th encouraging protesters to attack the Capitol and actually inciting riot, trespass, and violence on January 6th while on Capitol grounds. Despite this evidence, the J6 Committee has publicly stated that despite entering Capitol grounds and inciting illegal activity Ray Epps “broke no laws”. Additionally, they confirmed that he was NOT a federal agent nor was he working with the federal government.2
Given the fact that Ray Epps was NOT working with the federal government as a cooperating informant or agent, he seems to have been born under a lucky star. The Department of Justice has indicted the other leaders of the Oath Keepers and their members (some of whom were not even present at the Capitol on January 6th) on charges of Seditious Conspiracy3 - shockingly Ray Epps was not charged. On January 6th Ray Epps was filmed standing next to a man named Couy Griffin in a restricted area of the Capitol grounds (inside a barrier that was breached). Couy Griffin, despite not entering the Capitol, was convicted of ‘entering restricted U.S. Capitol gounds’ spent 20 days in jail without bail and was ultimately sentenced to 14 days in jail, a $3,000 fine, 60 hours of community service, and a year of supervised release.4 Ray Epps, despite standing next to Couy in the ‘restricted area’ wasn’t charged.
John W. Blischak, a former FBI agent, who serves as the former Oath Keeper’s lawyer stated that Ray Epps had met with the J6 Committee on two occasions including November 2021 and January 2022.5 Since then the media has bent over backward to paint Epps as an innocent victim. In fact, the New York Times has a very strange spin on Ray Epps.6 Adam Goldman covers the FBI for the Times and is pushing a narrative that Epps was NOT working as a covert government agent when he helped instigate the attack on the Capitol last year.7 If we accept the J6 Committee’s assurance that Ray Epps was not a covert government agent he STILL was one of the instigators of the attack - why is the mainstream media painting him as an innocent victim?
