YES, this same message also goes to charities that I donate MONTHLY too, who hit me up way too often for MORE. Enough.

Yes. Another thing I think that could be used, if done properly if to ask for small dollars anywhere from $3 upwards right after passing an actual law. 1. It lets everyone know what you are doing. Don't bother if it is just a messaging bill only. 2. It gives you an idea how popular that was. The biggest things for me is that I give generously at the beginning because I am trying to send a message. However, I tend to have 3 to 5 non-negotiable issues I want fixed or addressed and fast. I don't think it's too much to ask for a national voter id law that can be checked. It has 86% support. Yet here we are. When that starts to happen, my wallet closes. I'll still vote for Republicans because I am NOT leaving my fate up to Democrats, especially in their form since 2010ish. I am not selfish enough to do that or sit out, but I'm not giving money to people who were handed every single node of government and behave like the Indiana and Mississippi RINOS I know so well.

Like so many others commenting, I no longer open ANY texts from campaigns. Don't give a damn who sends them. I also make a point of going to candidate pages on X and telling them I refuse to give one penny to anyone texting me and I have a long memory. It's at the point of thinking about going to a phone without texting.

The texts are endless and hitting stop does nothing except change the sending number the time. I’m done giving money to republicans. If they can’t oust Thune and pass bills then they are useless

One missing ingredient: stop sharing donor lists! If I knew which campaign abused me this way, I would never support it again. I no longer even read texts for state and local candidates that are not in my state and locale. I just immediately delete them, marking them as spam. I mean, they could just start with β€œMay we add you to our distribution list?”

I have had it with the daily panicked appeals. I have been "discovered" by every Rerpublican in the United States. I delete about 100 emails from these folks every day. And when the scorekeepers report my bad behavior they send in the staffers. And they can get pretty nasty. As a result, I have a new email address. All the robo calls go to my landline which goes to voice mail after two rings and I have a call blocker. As for mail, I stop in the garage on my way back from the mailbox and dispose of the campaign mail. At this point I may never donate to any candidate again.

One thing that also came out of this is that most small donors are female. (You always refer to the donor as β€œher.”) that never occurred to me. Tho, I would guess the big donors are mostly male.

OMG,this is so needed. Now when you type STOP, the reply does NOT SEND. So you are insulted at least thrice: 1 by the vapidity of their message (not even an appeal); 2, their asking if you are fed up enough to want off the list? If so, fill out this survey and contribute again; and 3 the sytem REJECTS your STOP message.

And if you notify WINRED that you want off their lists, they say they have no control over messages other than those signed and sent directly by them. My reply is I want off YOUR list that you obviousy rent out-- and it never works.

I'd really like to sue them.

You nailed it (as usual)! I see ALL CAPS on a text message and delete without opening it. These senders don't even try to sound like we're a team...they beg, shame and scold.
