Your writing is brilliant - quite literally. I especially appreciate the content in addition to the nuances, such as the juxtaposition of opposites (often at the end of paragraphs). Cannot thank you enough for taking the time to convey so much pertinent material during such a transformative time in American history.

p.s. As for thinking that Sotomayor "is sincere, compassionate, even brilliant, and still believe her speeches are reckless," I'd humbly offer that reckless (and I believe very premeditated) expressions of partisanship, especially from a SCOTUS justice, cancel out any brilliance that person may have previously demonstrated.

This has been in change for the last 8 years, we still have justices who uphold the values of office and we have seen an increase of activism in others. They were not made Presidents but once they bring in laws they are no longer the body that was set up. I say you have broke your office by leaning to your affiliated side you can no longer hold the power. Just because you all go to the same club it should not interfere in the work you do. As intellectuals you know this but are driven by the hatred of one man. No other president has suffered in this way. So I say close and abolish the SCOTUS. They have stepped on a snake. A great article as always.
