Of course this is a problem everywhere because our country is basically run by fraud and corruption on a scale not seen or at least not known in our history. Does anyone actually believe that there are principled and honest people whose moral and ethical standards cannot be corrupted with the right incentive? How many truly moral and honest people are willing to sacrifice their entire lives and the lives of family members by getting into politics which is so crass, so uncivil, so immoral, and so corrupt that one would have to be a saint to survive and still would be beaten down by the system?
The Democrat Party has adopted the Somali way it seems to me. The clan protects its members while punishing anyone who dares to reveal the fraud, treason, and continual corruption within the party.
So true. My elected Democrat Representative is a perfect example. She is the most recent iteration of a familial dynasty. She is smart and undoubtedly knows from the inside how corrupt politics are. Yet, she votes unwaveringly with Democrats on things I am sure she knows are just plain WRONG. It is so sad, because if she voted her conscience, I know she would be great.
I consider people to be smart who understand human nature and have enough of a will to consider others when they make decisions. Is voting against one's conscience being smart or just selfish?
Enforcement inside the community requires little violence. Social pressure suffices. Those who break ranks are shamed, isolated, economically cut off, or branded traitors. Whistleblowers lose family support and community standing. As a result, internal dissent is rare and external investigators struggle to flip witnesses.
The patronage system sounds like it operates on cult rules. Makes me wonder if the obvious charismatic leader fits other cult attributes or if the cult analogy falls apart. The patronage system at best sounds like a small town government that was set up to rob the people on the outside while enriching those on the inside. The high trust sheep people donβt have any defense against scammer wolf culture.
WOW, more insight from @amuse leading to provocative thinking. Thanks.
Patronage system. . . Isnβt that the basis of all mafia activity and criminal organizations? I question whether or not violence exists within the Somali system. Maybe their isolation and homogeneity preclude the need for open violence.
Remember Chicago, a long held Democrat city, with corruption beginning in the 1800βs and continuing today. And, historical political corruption in NYC which has now taken a lead role. We must be careful to focus too much on one city and one ethnicity. There have been Irish and Italian political patronage systems that eventually assimilated leaving behind the criminal mafia elements.
Given history, I do not believe the Twin Cities can be saved, or the state. Minnesota's population is heavily concentrated in the Twin Cities metro area, with significant populations in Hennepin and Ramsey Counties. Like NYC, MN has had brief bursts of Republican leadership only to fall back to Democrats.
A significant difference between Italian/Irish mafias and the Somali patronage system is the religious foundation. Protestant and Catholic basic texts do not require the destruction of infidels, but rather demands efforts to proselytize them, the source of the suicidal empathy.
One must worry about eliminating the fraud and corruption in the Twin Cities to the point of creating a violent criminal Somali mafia. This may be the only rationalization for the blind eyes by the Democrat leadership.
Truthfully, they sound like the old Democrat machine in Chicago which at the very least provided reasonable city government for most and has now metastasized in a racist machine to empower illegal aliens. Good luck to all of us.
Letβs stop whispering. Minnesota didnβt βmissβ a fraud problemβit surrendered to it. What Muse lays out is a hostile takeover of a high-trust American system by a low-trust patronage machine, aided and abetted by cowardly politicians, indulgent judges, and a media class terrified of being called names. Billions vaporized. Juries ignored. Verdicts erased. Reporters smeared. And the loot cycle restarts under a new nonprofit letterhead. This isnβt diversityβitβs institutional capture. When the law wonβt enforce itself because feelings might get hurt, corruption becomes policy. The welfare state becomes a cash piΓ±ata. Call it whatever you wantββsuicidal empathyβ is polite. Iβll call it governance malpractice.
Ignored in all of this is how appalled the founders would be at the very existence of such a welfare state that could be used never mind exploited by anyone.
Until the West dismantles the welfare hydra we will all be enslaved by it.
Well written and very insightful. Unfortunately this is not isolated to one specific group but to many groups who bring customs that donβt align with western values, laws, and morals. It always has to get worse before it gets better. Iβm hoping that eventually we all start to understand that we have strikingly obvious differences between cultures, and unfortunately as you said, empathy and sympathy without boundaries is surrender.
May not be isolated to one culture (Somali), but this article clearly explains how it is extremely common with Somalians since their home country is ran with such corruption.
Isnβt that precisely the problem with diversity, assuming not one culture is better than the others. Assuming we are all the same. Boy oh boy is that another fu$&ing leftist lie.
This is happening in Maine and Ohio as well (so far). And what of the Federal judges who simply vacated the conviction? How can they do that?
How much more of this rampant fraud do we have to endure? They are making a mockery of every American citizen and enjoying every minute of our rage. One only has to look at Ilhan, who mocks us at every turn knowing no one in the US has the balls to do anything to her
What is the Minnesota agency who issues licenses to these child card centers? Base on the YouTube "investigations" this week, many of them are obvious scams, there are no children there, and there is strong evidence that the payments they received were fraudulent.
Invading Leeches
Silicon Valley works like this too, I hope we start discussing this for all ways in which itβs who you know and not your merit. Good points on that

Only my Democrat Representative can answer your question.

The Somalis definitely have charismatic leaders. Look no further than Ilhan Omar.

Ayaan Hirsi AliβS autobiography Infidel, gives a great account of this clan network based on her experience growing up in Somalia.
I will look it up. Thank you.
It is a long and incredibly moving read. Including a description of her own female genital mutilation.
Children present without records.
Kids not listed in the system.
Missing immunization files.
Staff unable to identify children.
Thatβs not childcare.
Thatβs compliance theater.

I was looking through the state's childcare reporting system - they all have scores of sanctions.
Yes but most donβt have 95 violations in similar time periods.
It is normal to have a violation here and there.
New teachers donβt always know all the kids names which is a requirement but you get dinged for that.
Sometimes teachers go home early because of illness and the class becomes out of ratio for student/teachers.
This is not the case with the Somali Scam Center.

It is largely a problem with Islamic migrants - especially those from Africa.

I am seeing the same things. As for the judge, they can and do. The state is appealing. Not sure what will ultimately happen.
When I read the rationale used by the judge who vacated I thought it completely without merit (it could have been someone else who did it).
If it is happening in Minnesota, it is happening in other states as well. Thank you for this analysis of the situation.

The woman that runs the system is named Tikki.
