John Thune needs to stop whining about Senate procedure and start doing the job he was elected to do. The SAVE America Act isn’t complicated—it’s the bare minimum to secure elections in a sovereign nation. Voter ID and proof of citizenship are common sense. If Thune is too timid to fight a talking filibuster, then he has no business calling himself Majority Leader. The real leader of the Republican movement is Donald J. Trump, and the American people know it. MAGA didn’t send Republicans to Washington to surrender to process games. Pass the SAVE America Act—or Thune should step aside. If he won’t lead, he’s OUT.

How about that for cash leverage against the SAVE Act? Thank goodness Senator Mike Lee is on this like a pit bull on a burglar’s leg.
They’ve (Thune and his cabal) have got us over a barrel and they know it. While hiding behind things like too small of a majority or Senate rules, he knows he can easily let the Save America Act die on the vine and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it.
He’s not running for reelection this year, as many other RINOS aren’t as well, so we can’t even primary them. For him, he thinks it’s a win/win proposition to just drag this out until it’s either dead or too late. In either case, he will have accomplished the bidding of his masters.
There is only one sure fire way left to trap him in his own game and that is for this election to make 2024 look like just a warm-up, for every single red-blooded American to get out and vote in even greater numbers than ever in history.
Yes, it will turn many a stomach to have to pull the lever for some of these cowards and traitors but it will be calling their bluff.
We have seen our Congress flaunt our wishes right in our faces but their only excuse has been to hide behind too slim of a majority to easily pass what we want.
We the people have the power to remove that stumbling block and force them into doing what we sent them there to do.
We outvoted the rigging machine in 2024 and we can literally blow it up in 2026 if we are determined enough to do it.

There will be a primary for Thune's seat because he is not running for re-election. That is why he is so comfortable and confident in screwing his constituents and the country. He's been paid well for his betrayal and believes he is untouchable.
Another excellent explanation! I am afraid that if the Congress continues on its present course the FAFO Rule will give them - in my lifetime- the opportunity to see what a real lynch mob looks like up close and personal.
Thune should have a roll call vote… soon. We can then see which members are against Save Act which makes them part of the problem. Thune also has Reconciliation which he refuses to use McConnell must be against using it, Thune is Puppet for Mitch.

Replacing a Senate Majority Leader involves a vote by the party caucus. This has never been done by either party, but there is always a first time.
