Side note: It must grieve Greenwald and Mearshimer - two of the most overrated, at times delusional armchair critics of nearly everything that’s ever happened in history - to actually have to praise Trump’s genius.
Maybe there’s hope for them, and so many others like them, yet.
This is why Trump is already legendary: he doesn’t govern like a committee chair, he governs like a commander who understands leverage, timing, and terrain. While critics mistake noise for chaos, Trump uses uncertainty as a weapon and restraint as strength. He wins before the fight, forces opponents to overreact, and leaves exits so victories convert into alignment, not quagmires. Borders sealed, energy unleashed, alliances recalibrated, adversaries stunned—often without firing a shot. That’s not improvisation; that’s doctrine. Sun Tzu called it defeating the enemy without battle. History will call it statecraft rediscovered. Trump didn’t just read The Art of the Deal—he mastered the Art of War in civilian clothes.
You have this nailed. I understand and believe in Trump's tactics. He has had 4 years to think about how he would do things differently in Term 2, and the world is taking notice. Effective is an understatement. Focused, Energetic, Strategic, are also understatements.
EXCELLENT article and so well-articulated! I did read The Art of War several years back and I always recognized Sun Tzu's strategy in the so-called "madness of Trump's method". While the Left sees him as dangerous and unstable (he is to them!) I saw a genius negotiator and strategist who knew how to keep them off-balance. Loved this summary and analysis.
You are always right on. I love it. Because you are so articulate, I send your articles to my grandchildren, to learn. I have the Art of War on my bookshelf. Too bad more people don’t read.
Outstanding analysis!
And Substacker Don Surber was brilliant yesterday when someone said 'Sun Tzu is smiling', and Don said "Sun Tzu is taking notes". !!!!!!!
Absolutely Fascinating.

Hope springs eternal.

LOVE this analysis. It has quelled some of my rising concerns. Through your eyes I can see the path and logic.

total braindead bullshit , he’s a child molesting traitor that supports Islam and makes deals with them as he entertains them in the White House

Tremendous article and, as expected, extremely well-written. The inclusion of Glenn Greenwald was inspired.

God Bless Trump & all who work with him
Excellent summary of Trump’s Art of War in line with his Art of the Deal. Will we ever have such an amazingly talented president again?
So well written …Thank you
Art of the real, art of war. Not much different
Excellent explanation.
Underestimate Trump? The media can’t observe him rationally. Nice analysis.
I love how you put into words and concrete coherent terms what I think and feel but cannot sharpen enough to do so.
