It would be incredibly and immensely helpful if you could draw up an Emergency Priority To-Do List for Congress containing all that they need to accomplish with regard to the most serious issues and problems we must confront, but have to rely on THEM to act upon and codify!

I genuinely think they truly have no clue how short of the mark they are, how utterly exasperating, and yet how indispensable they are if we’re to ever get this ship of state righted.

They have been sooo immersed in their safe bubble of reality and false sense of security doing nothing for so long, except write strongly worded letters, or defer to “traditions” like freaking blue slips, I don’t believe they even have a clue anymore what their true purpose in government really is!

They truly are America First’s agenda Achilles heel.

We could demand fuzzy searches that seek such creative spellings. Obviously then a human would need to inspect or an AI bot could compare styles. But the IT folk already know how but decided not to do such searches.

But fixing the law makes great sense. Could be bipartisan.

I don’t know why I am surprised that this practice is, apparently, widespread in the swamp. I will share this with my elected representatives…for all the good it is likely to do me.

Thank you for shining a light on this. "Creative evasion" sounds too benign to describe the deliberate obfuscation of records. Whatever the remedy suggested, it won't correct the sense of entitlement that lies behind the examples you quoted. Our ruling class truly believes in their superiority, and we peons are only entitled to the information that they think we should have.

The arrogance is breathtaking.
