Keep this going!

Sounds good. Somehow recognize a ā€œSomalilandā€ w/o anymore of our taxpayer dollars because they already have BILLIONS anyway! Let them use their money. Then we have a place to repatriate their asses from 30,000 feet! And then they can continue to breed like rabbits! I’m so angry that we’ve allowed them to steal from us! I don’t have ANY kind words or empathy left!

I am always impressed reading your articles as to the depth of information regarding important subjects not nearly talked about enough elsewhere. You had me hooked to agree as soon as you showed Ilhan Omar’s reaction to Somaliland. If this hurts her dominant link to Somalia, then it’s a win-win…until she is deported. However, you described so many reasons why, it was easy to agree with your article. Omarā€˜s boldness in speaking about her president and her country as this woman sits in our Congress is not only rude, but treasonous. I pray that this corrupt loudmouth is kicked out of Congress and deported back to Somalia. She doesn’t deserve to settle in Somaliland.

"The easy argument is that it would enrage Somalia-born Rep Ilhan Omar."

If it would piss off Ilhan Omar then I’m all for it.

Well, you’ve convinced me, but then you always do. Good luck with Trump!

In matters of foreign policy, there is only one question: What would Warren Christopher do?

Whatever the answer, do the opposite.

This is exactly the kind of move Trump should make—clean, decisive, and grounded in results, not bureaucratic superstition. Somaliland earned statehood the hard way: ballots instead of bullets, order instead of jihad, self-reliance instead of aid addiction. Somalia has burned through tens of billions and still can’t police its own capital. Pretending these two are equal is foreign-policy malpractice. Recognition wouldn’t destabilize the region—it would expose the failure of the patronage system that thrives on dysfunction and fraud. That’s why the outrage would be instant. Somaliland’s success is a rebuke. Trump should recognize it, lock in a strategic ally, and send a message: performance matters.

ā€œIt is supported by a diplomatic habit, and by the fear that acknowledging an obvious case will force the world to confront less obvious ones.ā€

The implications in regard to China are only peripherally mentioned, but I suspect they are profound.

If logic and geopolitical self-interest dictates the the US should recognize Somaliland (which I agree, it does), then extending those same arguments would mean that the US should formally recognize Taiwan as an Independent State.

Amongst other concerns, I am confident this is a major factor in China’s vehement rejection of Israel’s recognition of Somaliland.

Only a man like Trump has the courage and vision to go against the established order.

I thank God America has such a man who, together with his Administration, is willing to take clear, decisive, action against the forces of darkness abroad in our country, and that threaten us, on the global stage. May he do so in these two cases, as well.

Thank you Mike for mentioning the Israel/Somaliland connection.

Is this the reason for PM Netanyahu's New Year visit to Mar-A-Lago? I'm not a diplomat, prophet, nor do I have a crystal ball, but I have the instinctual feeling that Israel's recognition of Somaliland was mutually planned by the leaders of Israel and USA.

It seems President Trump is always miles ahead of events and the news cycle. I can't help but think that the welfare fraud, apparently rampant within the Somali community throughout the United States, may play a role in this development. Though Somaliland would be foolish to allow the deported fraudsters to settle in their country. Likewise, the rumor of resettling Gazans in Somaliland doesn't seem a good idea for multiple reasons.

Another data point that enters my mind is the recent support for the Christian community in Africa and the elimination by the War department of ISIS Africa terrorists . Changes are afoot and I think for the better.

I will throw one more opinion in here. For those hyper critical of military support the United states has provided Israel, this shows the bargain the United states is receiving on that investment. When compared to the billions of dollars sent to Somalia, the billions more sent through fraudulent means, and the blood of American soldiers in the sand of Mogadishu, Israel is the best investment America has ever made.

ā€œIs this the reason for PM Netanyahu's New Year visit to Mar-A-Lago?ā€

There is so much hanging on what Israel and the United States does in the near-term, that I’m confident it wasn’t THE reason, but equally confident it didn’t happen without prior US knowledge and acquiescence. And, given the immense geopolitical ramifications of formal Israeli recognition, I am confident it was a prominent Agenda item. What is virtually inconceivable, is that the Israeli move came as a surprise to the Trump Administration.

ā€œā€¦Somaliland would be foolish to allow the deported fraudsters to settle in their country. Likewise, the rumor of resettling Gazans in Somaliland doesn't seem a good idea for multiple reasons.ā€

This world has always been dangerous, but we are living in a uniquely dangerous age, with serious threats abounding from virtually every direction. I agree with you that Trump always seems to be ā€˜miles ahead of events and the news cycle’ - and I credit and thank the Lord for that, strange as it may seem to others.

Trump is not a ā€˜perfect’ man by any stretch of the imagination, but neither is anyone else. Even King David, the only man of whom it is written, that he was ā€œā€¦a man after His own heartā€ (1 Samuel 13:14b), was a murderer, adulterer, and made many poor choices as a father.

The point is simply that God’s ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8); He works through imperfect vessels such as Trump and Netanyahu, and:

ā€œThe king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts.ā€

Proverbs 21:1-2

So, while I can see and understand the reasons you would be concerned about transferring criminally corrupt American-based Somalis and Gazans to Somaliland, I also see this as a necessary step to avoid ā€˜paralysis by analysis’; getting bogged down by the ā€˜what if’s’, rendering the changes we both see as for the better, vulnerable to the forces that are inveterate in their opposition to anything that threatens the coveted status quo.

ā€œFor those hyper critical of military support the United States has provided Israel, this shows the bargain the United States is receiving on that investment. When compared to the billions of dollars sent to Somalia, the billions more sent through fraudulent means, and the blood of American soldiers in the sand of Mogadishu, Israel is the best investment America has ever made.ā€

I could not possibly agree with you more there. And I’m confident we both could go on to generate a long list of additional reasons American support for Israel has been very strongly in America’s best and greatest interests.

There are many arguments to be made in that regard. And it is a good thing to speak into this matter; to speak up and make one’s position clear, particularly in the face of the tragically effective sophistry composed of very subtle lies, distortions, and partial truths, woven together with enough truth to deceive the masses.

At the end of the day, however, this is a spiritual matter. The questions and issues related to Israel, Zionism, and the Chosen People (wherever they may be), are all central to the outworking of God’s Plan of the Ages, in the course of which He will ultimately redeem the Earth and humanity, as well as eliminate rebellion in His Universe.

That is the ā€˜root cause’ for the enduring nature of ā€˜the longest hatred’, and the growing vehemence of the masses who are being deceived and manipulated to serve the interests and goals of Satan, rather than the true and living God.

Tragically, most of the world’s population is blind to this, and/or rejects it as foolish and fanciful fairy tales, which ensures their continued blindness.

BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth), God…

No matter how turbulent, the affairs of this world will flow within the prophetic banks set forth in the Bible, which I embrace as the Old (Tanakh) and New (Brit Hadasha) Testaments - rightly understood. God’s Word and His Will shall ultimately be fulfilled, to the very smallest detail, regardless of the belief/unbelief and actions/inactions of any created being. The ultimate question for any and every one of us is, ā€˜Which side of God’s desires and purposes will we be on, when we pass from this world into the next?’

Proverbs 16:25

ā€œThere is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.ā€

Proverbs 16:2-6

ā€œAll the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits. Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established.

The LORD has made all for Himself, yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; though they join forces, none will go unpunished.

In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil.ā€

Psalms 46:10

ā€œBe still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!ā€

Proverbs 30:4-5 (Tanakh)

ā€œWho has ascended heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hand? Who has wrapped the waters in his garment? Who has established all the extremities of the earth? What is his name or his son’s name, if you know it?

Every word of God is pure, a shield to those who take refuge in Him.ā€

Psalms 2:10-12

ā€œNow therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.ā€

John 14:6

ā€œJesus said to him, ā€œI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.ā€

Not another taxpayer dollar to Somalia or Somalians in the US. They have abused the privilege to be here. Send them all home.
