Wow, this is relevant information I have never seen before. Thank you for sharing it. I was horrified when I saw Acton's mother's video, more so when I learned of Acton's back story - now - while it's all still horrifying - it all makes sense. How deeply wrong of Acton's campaign to attack VR's mother; just as with Acton's mother, I'll say, even if it's all true...how ugly to attack an opponent's mother. Thank you, Mr. Muse.
I was initially struck by the ad Vivek put up. Then, even listening to most conservative commenters, I began to question the wisdom and propriety of it, But your analysis here has me thinking again. I hope Vivek's campaign is reading you. I think they'd do well to, anyway. Give as good as you get!
Running both ads was wrong, because of basic human decency. And even if the relative wants to get into the ring of a campaign to sling mud doesn’t make it right. Keeping family out of a campaign should be a rule or you’re creating a precedent and an opening for all sorts of bad behavior.
If Vivek was angry about his mother being falsely accused than proving the lie would’ve been hundreds of times more powerful and effective in proving Acton to be an actual liar. Why didn’t he do that? Or maybe he did, but now it’s been drowned out by this stupid tactic.
If Acton lied about her past or Vivek’s mother, there are numerous ways that don’t involve a twisted family feud stinking up the airwaves that can be used to prove the lie. And if you can’t prove it by those means, move on.
Both campaigns dove into the mud for their candidates and they should all be ashamed.
It's the standard leftist mantra, "Rules for thee, but not for me."

As Aesop's fable says, "Two wrongs don't make a right."
