Producers produce for the Academy and the Academy wants LA-centric films that validate the bubble of demonic existence they live, eat, and breathe.

If you think about it, AI will probably be good for the viewership. It vastly lowers the threshold of opportunity for independent producers thus making more/better viewpoints available to us.

I always wondered how or why they were selected and this article has explained why. Nolan may spend 250 million, but that doesn’t mean it will earn that much. From the lineup, I definitely won’t watch since it’s another big colossal waste.
I recently checked to see what the TV rental charge to 'view' this "Obsession," is it? $19.95! YHGTBSM! I wouldn't pay that for a 'personal screening' that included champagne and a steak meal! Well, o.k., check that, maybe for the steak meal I might. All of these people must be suffering from that TDS disease, and are quite delusional, if not already INSANE!
Now I remember why I stopped going to the movies years ago—most were mediocre at best. After reading the RAISE requirements, I now have a reason to never go again. Who knew such a thing even existed?
No thank you. I do not need Homer filtered through Hollywood HR. I do not need classics recast, rewritten, and morally shrink-wrapped for Academy eligibility. Great art is not made by demographic accounting. It is made by genius, discipline, inheritance, reverence, beauty, courage, and truth. If Nolan made a masterpiece, fine. Let it stand on merit. But when the Academy builds identity gates before artistic judgment begins, audiences are right to distrust every casting announcement and every “bold reimagining.” Hollywood already forgot how to tell new stories. Now it wants to loot the old ones, repaint them with ideology, and demand applause. Keep the bread. Keep the circus. Keep the DEI Odyssey.

Since BEFORE "2024" Hollywood quit making movies. You know, the kind of movies we once went to see for a little time release from the day to day struggles! As the article states, that DEI nonsense pervades each and every one, and ALL have to be politically correct. I primarily watch the 'Turner Classic Movie' channel (TCM), whenever I need a movie to ENJOY! One simple example, and it will label me a 'racist.' Blacks have stagnated at 12%-13% of the American population, and Latinos now are the second most populace ethnicity @20%+. Nearly every commercial, and current crop of movies, MUST contain at least one black person, i.e., 100% participation, far and above that population number. The Latino participation is at what level? It also adds higher watch ratings if there are LBGTQ++ elements, along with black on white sexual segments! I'm just pointing out facts, and I am far from being racist, having served with, and have friends in that community! "Best Picture?" I couldn't tell you what any of them are over the past two decades. One of "my best pictures," and highly recommend is "The Big Country," 1958, with Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Carroll Baker, Burl Ives. and a star studded supporting cast! I coopted Ives' mangling of the word miracle (maricle) when I want to describe the improbable. "President Dwight D. I’m totally done with Hollywood. I won’t be watching any of the new movies from there. If the actors won’t stand up, I will in their place.
