Moral inversion is a Progressive specialty, they live in imaginary worlds.

Socialist Democrat talking points are that crime disappears when there is equity. We will still need prisons but there will be less of a need for them when people don’t own property. Ya right. 😉

They need to spend some time in prison interacting with the inmates and watching the whole environment. I did some math tutoring inside and the experience helped form my world view.

Anyone who thinks most criminals can give a legitimate reason for being inside has no idea how the criminal personality works. Criminal behavior doesn't stop at the prison gates, it is pervasive inside as well. We definitely need prisons because there are some among us who can't control their behavior and should be separated from the rest of us who can.

It seems to me that the criminal mind is set up on a narcissistic feed-back loop, much like what we are now observing from the Fauci diary. Good book for this is Dr. Robert D. Hare, “Without Conscience.”

I wouldn't call it narcissism, although there's definitely a strain of it in most of the guys I met. The overwhelming reasons most of them were inside were a lack of forward thinking along with a complete lack of self-control. The old saying about criminals being careful in front of policemen did not hold up inside, they were breaking rules right in front of the guards all the time.

A case of virtue signaling gone terribly wrong. You'd think that the City, of all people, would have the reliable data and go by. The Democrat Socialists said, "Turn it upside down", and they did. You'd think that the ideology would get sick of being wrong. No, they're protecting the perpetrators over the protectee's. The illegals win again while the black community loses another. They told you, fresh off a Trump win, at the State of the Union Address that they were for the illegals. Democrats didn't believe them

Wouldn’t it make more sense to demand more shot spotters across the city, without attention to gunshot incidence, than to remove one or more, because of neighborhood demographics?

DDALEX20's avatar

“Without attention to gunshot incidence”? But that is the whole point. . .

Jennie Corsi's avatar

Obviously, that’s the actual point, but in order to poke a hole in the claim that their placement is racially motivated, one must ask, why was the remedy not dispersing them farther afield, rather than removing them?

"....the placement of the sensors was itself a racial harm." Roger that. Just place those sensors in every police station, or, some gated community that also has armed guards, only ACCIDENTAL discharges would be noted! What convoluted, brain-dead, nonsense! How nonsensical is this tripe? Anyone with just a modicum of common sense would know you place those sensors in areas KNOWN to have repetitious GUNFIRE! As is said far too often in America today, "You Just Can't Make This Schiff Up."

It’s the same in most liberal cities: they want and need law enforcement, not white virtue-signaling idiots telling them they don’t.

Au contrare mon ami! Have you not heard that the whacks want ALL police gone, not just defunded, GONE BABY GONE?

Good analysis. Thanks. Additionally one would think there is simple deterrent value of the use of the technology. If the populace knows it is being deployed there will be fewer gunshots because the risk of detection is higher.

Racism is a white obsession.

Excellent article. And this applies to the media shoveling out narratives of well-funded activist groups advocating for a menu of issues intended to 'steer' cultural acceptance.

Here is a quick video on how to lower crime in American cities. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_pAHokHrPo4&ra=m

I could not determine whether this was or was not Cambridge, MA.
