Congress has a very long To-Do List when it comes to saving this country from the tyrannical Left, but seem to be proving almost daily they are not quite up to the task.
Whenever Democrats have a majority they manage to enact every kind of anti-American policy in their vile dreams, but we can’t even get our party to agree to pass a law requiring something as basic and obvious as Voter ID.
It’s just astonishing, and members of our own party are throwing a major wrench in the Trump admins efforts to restore sanity and common sense in this country.
This is foreign censorship by proxy, and it’s intolerable. The First Amendment doesn’t end where Brussels gets offended. Europe can regulate its speech however it wants—but it doesn’t get to launder those rules into American discourse through corporate blackmail. When tech platforms bow to EU fines and quietly globalize censorship, Americans lose rights without a single vote cast. That’s not regulation; it’s an end run around the Constitution. Congress exists to stop exactly this kind of sovereignty erosion. If foreign governments are dictating what Americans can say online, then American lawmakers have already waited too long. Free speech doesn’t survive by accident—it survives by forceful defense.
Great article! I did not know this about the Digital Services Act. But now that I know, it explains a lot of what I've seen happening online! We definitely need to get this changed so that Americans have and keep free speech!
The reason for this mass global censorship is that the first thing a kidnapper does is gag the victim so that they cannot sound the alarm. Give up your free speech at your peril. Once they are able to silence you, the game is over. The loss of all of your other freedoms will fall like dominos after. Anyone that advocates to censor you, or to unmask your anonymity is your adversary. Treat them like one - no matter what else they say.
But why is it so vital and necessary for the combined monolithic apparatus of government, corporations, and NGOs, to brute force censor everyone while decimating the careers and reputations of the dissenters? Here is why:
The reason the First Amendment is prime directive order 1, is because it is the most important freedom we have for the same reason it is the first target an adversary subverts, disrupts, and destroys during a crime, a war, or a takeover—preventing a target from assembling, communicating, and organizing a response to an assault grants an enormous advantage to the aggressors.

It has absolute economic impact! That is why the EU wants to harness it through censorship. They want to control the flow of money.
