Unfortunately, Burns' mastery of visual storytelling is the perfect way to propagandize our history for our ignorant society.

Lying by omission. 'You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all of the time'.

Wait until A I is writing history, nothing will be recognizable.

I enjoyed the series but also observed the propaganda. Pity he couldn’t be honest.

We know that all of history regarding the white race has to be rewritten by the revolutionaries who are determined to destroy civilization itself. Burns is simply one of them and has used taxpayer's money to advance the revolution (until Trump ended that use of our money).

I wouldn't waste my time watching anything he has produced. Propaganda.

Anything Burns does is a waste of time and dishonest.

Burns ( also 99% of TV) is a waste of time. “Boone “by Robert Morgan gives a good history about early pioneers , Indians, and blacks. “The best known slave at Boonesborough was Uncle Monk” . Beside being an outstanding man, he was the only one who knew how to make gunpowder ( at Boonesborough) ! you write my favorite substack, I always learn something!! thank you ! monk was a black man.

Thank you. This is a good and telling analysis. I am glad I subscribed.

My wife and I only watched the fifth one--I guess we had a premonition. In spite of that, we turned on the TV to watch the last one and, lo, it was preempted by local programming so we haven't seen how it turned out. I'm curious: who won the Revolutionary War in Burn's telling?

Yep, Burns proves his mettle as a propagandist, the smarmy little turd.

I lost interest in Ken Burns years and years ago but it is still nice to read how he can do a documentary to put forth true historical fact and yet slant it to current day favored ideology
