Wait until I move! NJ moved far to the Left of me during my lifetime here, and not by any doing of mine. I have been conservative, and have voted conservative my entire life and should not tariffed because of the failings of the Leftist Lemmings who moved here from NYC. They came out in droves to central and western NJ from the 80's on, fleeing the very policies they voted for in NYC, but didn't want to pay for once the bill came due.
No, that is not allowed under the Import-Export Clause of the Constitution. I think it can be considered a RICO violation if a state tries to force fees out of another state for the purpose of controlling trade.
Trump has redefined the way tariffs are used to support friendly trade relations over unfair competition. He is using it to rebuild American industries by increasing the cost of foreign companies to compete against American companies. It is an America First plan.
