He needs to go.

Should do that anyway so he has his team to work with why are we still dealing with this issue anyway

Wonderful analysis. Thune wanted Mike Pence to take out Trump in 2016. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Get rid of RINO Thune!!

It’s a bold move — constitutionally grounded and strategically aggressive. If the Senate is using pro forma sessions to freeze out appointments while avoiding accountability votes, that’s not “advice and consent,” it’s slow-walk sabotage. Forcing a recess or triggering the adjournment clause would smoke out who’s actually obstructing. But here’s the real question: are there consequences? If Senate Republicans defy Trump’s staffing authority without political cost, the tactic becomes permanent. The base will notice. Midterms will notice. Power in Washington ultimately flows from leverage. A president who won a mandate can’t allow procedural games to override electoral results without pushback.

Thune is compromised. As is his predecessor, who is now open about it.

Thune is the reason we have the old saying, "With friends like these, who needs enemies?"

Not unlike the Trump 45 presidency, our TRUE enemies are shit Republicans. If not for Paul Effing Ryan, Trump 45 would have been so successful by the time covid rolled around, covid may have NOT rolled around. Democrats at lease are open about hating the American people. The TRUE back-stabbing bastards have ALWAYS been Republicans.

I'm beginning to believe that Thune intends to do nothing through the mid-terms in the hope that Trump will be impeached and removed.

Why is Thune doing this?

I don't trust Thune or Johnson. I said last year that Trump should have forced the Christmas break so he could start making appointments.

Good luck with Thune's butt-Buddy Johnson. Every picture of Thune includes his shadow Johnson in the background grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Wouldn't a gallows be a quicker solution?

He should do that anyway

Congress works as hard to avoid doing something productive as the rest of the federal government. This "recess" tactic is like the silent filibuster: the lazy bastards pretend to be doing something while not doing anything. I'm really tired of their shit.

Can we just admit that Thune is the acting head of the Republican resistance within the Senate against Trump. It’s plain as day.

He’s either compromised, compensated, or merely a dyed in the wool RINO, a’la the Bushie-McConnell Brigade or all of the above.

He and his cohort know they can obstruct Trump until he’s out of office, and that’s their entire MO.

Perfectly stated. The GOP loathes Trump. He shows what someone with a set of balls can do and they cannot permit that. Upsets the cash cart.

The Thune betrayal is much like the John Roberts betrayal, narcissistic personality is difficult to overcome. This is the solution we need to save the country. If Thune refuses to put this national security issue first, I hope President Trump uses this strategy. 🇺🇸

The Thune betrayal is more like the Ryan-McConnell betrayal. In fact, given ol' Cocaine Mitch is still hanging on, it's probably a good bet it's actually just the McConnell betrayal, The Empire Strikes Back edition.

I don't think Thune illegally adopted kids like Roberts did.
