The United States vulnerable oil. Didn't Trump claim the United States is oil independent then why are gas prices going up. Guess Trump lied again what happened to the drill baby drill ?
Oil is fungible and cutting down on the gulf state supply (trump blunder) doesnβt cut demand. The USA being a net exporter doesnβt change that but puts American producers in a position to benefit from it.
This comes as a direct result of drill baby drill during the Obama years. The thought of America being a net exporter was insane in the early 2000s.
The US had standalone helium mines in Amarillo, TX. The only place in the world according to my 93-year-old father who never seems to forget anything. They closed in the 1970s. I happen to be visiting him and he just told me this and I thought it was an interesting piece of trivia.
