I am disgusted by the many so-called conservatives who demand instant gratification, whinge on without comprehending that magic wands do not grant wishes nor make laws. That takes time as well as a viable legal framework. It makes no sense to slap together a regulation or law that is unconstitutional or unable to stand up in court.

Too often ego, especially when one is a celebrity, will not allow for retrenchment.
As far as I know, he's not even a TX resident, he should mind his own business.
