John Thune has stalled this entire time and won't do SH__. He needs to be a Democrat or removed from his positionperiod.

Why would you think Thune would do anything now after doing nothing for the last 2 years?

One thing that could be easily addressed is the blocking of nominee through the convention of Blue Slipping of Senate appointments. Blue Slips are forms used in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee that allow home-state senators to express their approval or disapproval of presidential nominees for federal judgeships or U.S. attorney positions. This process can significantly influence whether a nomination proceeds. Chuck Grassley has blocked the removal of the Blue Slip and it has prevented conservatives from being approved that reside in states with liberal Senators who blackball their nomination.

Thune’s own words after the disastrous night were, “…we will not stand idly by…”!

Seriously?! He spent the last two years as Leader, with a majority in both Houses, doing nothing but ‘standing idly by”.

One thing is for certain, no Republican/Conservative voter will EVER believe a word that comes out these Senator/traitors mouths again.

Show us meaningful, tangible actions or just shut up - forever.

It means that he'll SIT idly by...

Hate to admit it, but Evil has won, now we will see us becoming a second Europe. Country elected their destroyers.

Thune is a quisling Trump hater. He will do none of this.

Hoping Thune will do any of this brings to mind the old adage: “wish in one hand and crap in the other…see which one gets filled up first”.

About time Thune and rest of spineless senate republicans salvage some thing from their squandered majority

As far as I can tell, every state that had a citizenship requirement to vote passed.

And none of them are democrat controlled.

Can they recess Congress and let him do recess appointments?

Why did Thune leave recess appointments off the table? I fail to see how leaving so many positions vacant helped Trump or the Republicans.

Perhaps he could, but he won’t.
