On September 17, the Education Department’s Student Privacy Policy Office opened an investigation under FERPA and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment into the Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough in Massachusetts.
"....school personnel secretly facilitated their child’s gender transition without their knowledge...." Struggling NOT to be some "keyboard warrior;" however, had that occurred with one of my, now nearly 60 years old, children, there would be far more than any law suit to bring those responsible to receive their "Just Due!" These wrong headed people think they are unaccountable, in their positions of POWER, and this grotesque 'Transitioning' crapola will not end in these schools until they are FORCED to "Pay The Piper!" As is said far too often in America today, "You Just Can't Make This Schiff Up."
That actually began over 6 decades ago, when 'We The Semi-normal' were forced to accept the abnormal/abominable as NORMAL! The 'unintended/unforeseen consequences' are now in full bloom. From homosexuality acceptance came gay marriages, bringing same couple adoptions, i.e., "I have two mommies or two daddies," to this 'life changing,' no return to normal, mutilation of children that cannot give consent! People(?) that perform these operations, and or support them, should be prosecuted and imprisoned. As John Stossel would say, "GIVE ME A BREAK."
FERPA and HIPAA both deny the right of the individual to sue for damages due to negligence of record keeping by our schools or medical institutions. To have to depend upon state law to protect your child’s and your own privacy, means we must be vigilant and know the state law where we reside. Records can be detrimental in so many ways, so it is essential to know what is in them. FERPA allows a parent to dispute what is written in the records. HIPAA also provides for a patient to dispute medical records and submit a record of disagreement. Bottom line is that these laws only go so far in protecting us. When you have medical clinics on the same campus property as public K-12 schools, you have real problems and that is how democrats in Oregon operate behind the blue curtain. https://www.oregon.gov/OHA/PH/HealthyPeopleFamilies/Youth/HealthSchool/SchoolBasedHealthCenters/pages/index.aspx
