DOW doesn’t need its own half-assed PBS…

They’ve been “woke” for a long time now and I’m happy to see the Tokyo Roses sent on their merry way. They wrote like China or the EU was paying their salaries.

The taxpayer is not funding a private newsroom with a Pentagon hobby. Stars and Stripes is government speech with a newsroom culture, not The Washington Post in camouflage. That distinction controls everything. If the paper wants private press freedom, it needs private press funding. Until then, mission, discipline, morale, civilian control, and military purpose are not optional suggestions from the people paying the bills. The same President who saved Stars and Stripes from budget death in 2020 can insist it serve the warfighter rather than posture as an untouchable fourth branch. Independence bought by taxpayers is not independence. It is a management choice.

This is a great dive into what we all knew at some level was a genuine problem with Stars and Stripes.

Now if only the DOW could cut off ties to Military Times. What a leftist rag.

I'm trying to find if you've written an article where you've been critical of anything Trump or the administration has done. Maybe readers can help me out. Or is it true he's a reliable cheerleader?

Why does it have to be one or the other? ‘cheerleader’ seems to be harsh for someone writing well thought out sourced material.

I support cheerleaders of capitalism and fiscal restraint. Isn’t that the focus of the Trump administration? Muse analysis is always a thorough study of adherence to American Constitutional principles.
