I've never owned an Apple device due to their "benovelent" policies that limit my control of my data. Google is hardly better but I'm a Pixel for now. You may want to go to an Android device until Elon releases a phone.
I stopped using Apple when their best suggestion to getting me back into my phone number (after losing a phone in public, which means you do not HAVE it in your hands for two-factor authentication, duh) was getting a new Apple ID ~ for the *third* time.
Strike three, you're out.
Everything I paid for with the first two Apple IDs are unaccessible. Think of all the photos and videos, over many years. Never again with Apple. No. Way.
Something similar happened a little over a year ago with my SO's phone. We didn't have an Apple store nearby so went to Verizon. I don't recall exactly how it was fixed but I think the technician changed the SIM card slot or something like that. Not anything nefarious as far as we were concerned. So what happened when you called that phone number? And is the fact that you had to call a phone number what leads you to believe that this was Apple doing this on purpose?
You have a private claim for violation of the DTPA. Treble damages plus attorney's fees and an opportunity for discovery. You've already drafted a lot of the discovery. They would settle presto pronto to avoid making unfavorable caselaw so you want to word your claim to require an explanation.
Yep, Apple products can piss one off. Maybe the Texas legislature can get it right. If you were in Tennessee the General Assembly would pass a statute condemning these depredations tomorrow, except they would contain no provision for sanctions or enforcement.🙄
Please keep speaking out, Alexander. You have a lot of people standing behind you!

It isn't just apple... facebook and youtube pulls this same shit.
As soon as Elon Musk puts out a cell phone, I’m on it! I don’t care what apps will be available, I just want reliable phone and message services.
I have been wondering if something like this was happening in order to further divide the people.

Now you know why I have never used an Apple product.
