Klein. I can smell what you’re stepping in. TDS. You may need to buy some new shoes and throw those away. TDS destroys brain cells.

People hear “ceasefire” and think pause for peace. That’s not how serious warfare works. This is positioning. Let the adversary breathe just long enough to expose what’s left—then map it, track it, and be ready to hit it again with precision. What looks like restraint is often intelligence gathering at scale. Iran digging out assets isn’t recovery—it’s visibility. Every move they make becomes data. That’s the shift: modern war isn’t just firepower, it’s information dominance. And right now, the side that sees everything controls everything. The ceasefire didn’t slow the fight—it changed how it’s being won.

Maybe having a Secretary of *War* instead of a Secretary of *Defense* is a good idea!

Wil's avatar

Yes because renaming changes what and how an organization works.

For example, Meta now makes all its money from the Metaverse.

Wil's avatar

You are aware of course that this exact same thing is true for the Iranians. you can be sure they are closely monitoring the US bases, and unlike before the war kicked off, this time they may get a strike in as soon as they see US forces mass rather than wait to get hit.

Richard Luthmann's avatar

Of course Iran will try to hit US bases. The US Military is operationally ready. Hegesth said so yesterday —if the ceasefire breaks down.

Wil's avatar

You asked me what I meant by hit hard, I provided examples.

Have a nice day.

Wil's avatar

The US was “operationally ready” when the war started and that didn’t do much good. The bases got hit hard and serious damage inflicted.

A lot of the infrastructure required to stop future attacks (radar equipment, etc) has been seriously degraded and is nowhere close to being repaired.

To summarize: Hegaeth is full of shite.

Richard Luthmann's avatar

Now you're peddling fake news. Tell me what you mean by "hit hard" and "serious damage."

Wil's avatar

That’s what I mean. I can go on, but I think the picture is clear.

If you disagree feel free to provide sources backing your claim up.

Richard Luthmann's avatar

Ok. Now compare the factual claims you just marshalled (Iranian attacks on American targets) with American attacks on Iranian targets. Then conduct a proportionality analysis, and contextualize the links you cited with the larger military theater.

I'll wait.

You see, you can't. And you can't get around the basic fact that if Trump gave the order, Tehran would be a parking lot within 24 hours. The gay Ayatollah cannot do that to New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., LA, or San Francisco.

Proportionality is where your fake news fails.

In the meantime while few are watching, Iran North, known as Hezbollah, is being brought to it's knees and the Lebanese are being encouraged to take their country back. Hamas continues to take losses. The Houthis are keeping a low profile in Yemen. In other words Shia Islam is on the run much to the delight of Sunni Islam. The Persians are regrouping and beginning to hit IRGC and Basij roadblocks. China has lost the Panama Canal, Straight of Hormuz and Straight of Malacca. It looks like President Trump has no idea what he is doing, eh? Thanks for the information Mr. AMUSE.

It's not a copout, there will not peace in the region until Jesus returns. Until then perhaps America will reclaim it's independence from England.

Keith A Breedlove's avatar

I would have liked to read this AFTER the war, not during it. Collection platforms, methods, admission of likely human assts in-country - have you never heard of OPSEC? What if the iranians are digging at empty tunnels, and not exposing burried weapons until a future date, when the pressure's off?

Skenny's avatar

There is always subterfuge. But if they have bulldozers and excavators at sites that were bombed because there was a missile launcher present, it's not a big secret what they are digging for. Worst case scenario: blow up the excavating equipment.

Wil's avatar

You honestly think that there is anything in that article the Iranians didn’t know already?

they are a serious people.

Andy's avatar

I had the same question—do we take all IRGC actions at face value? I’m sure there’s more to it, but it’s worth considering.

Dan Henry's avatar

Sure…the same guys who said this would only be 4-6 weeks now you are selling that they knew from the start that it would be longer and it was built into their strategy!

The same guys who acknowledged that they were forced into this war by Israel attacking first.

So which is it?!

CStone's avatar

Your go-to fast but fake news told you they said that. They didn’t.

You need to accept the fact that you have been lied to……bamboozled by your crusty, criminal demoniKKKRat party. It’s the only way they can survive. They are left with the deranged, most deviant, dumbest dregs of society.

Dan Henry's avatar

Not a Democrat fool and as for your comment about “dumbest dregs” look in a mirror:

“We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks” – Fox News live updates page includes the quote from his April 1 national address, and the address was carried on Fox platforms.

“Finished with attacks on Iran in two to three weeks” – Fox News write‑up of his March 31 remarks

“Four to six weeks to achieve our mission” – Fox News Cabinet‑meeting coverage, quoting Trump: “We estimated it would take approximately four to six weeks to achieve our mission, and we’re way ahead of schedule,” with Fox video from the meeting

You RATS have nothing.

Your hatred cannot build anything.

And yes. Dregs.

Swalwell, Newscum, TamponTim, Cackling Cameltoe Harris, Biden.

Your party promotes murder of children, especially those of color. If you cannot destroy children (your ‘god’ moloch/baal DEMANDS it) then you will sexually groom them and mutilate them.

Everything your demonic party stands for leads to the destruction of children and of our FREEDOM…..our Republic

Deranged, drugged, deviant, depraved, debased……..dregs.

Pro illegals, especially murderers and rapists , violent gangs. And against hardworking citizens.

Your party has looted and pillaged this nation, but “Muh….orange man bad”.

So. If you haven’t already, dye your hair green, get a nose ring, and scream into the void.

But I pray instead, that you fall on your knees before the One, the true, the Living God and repent.

Now.

Goodbye.

Can’t read can you…

Digger B!'s avatar

Would the Pentagon not have known the location of the underground bases when it first attacked them?

Wil's avatar

They did most likely, they bombed some of the tunnels, the Uranians dug them out, basically we are back to zeroing in that regards.

Of course there won’t be much of an element of surprise if things go hot again.

Who knows, this time the Iranians may actually get in a first strike when they see US forces massing. Would be interesting to see how much damage they can do.

Cal A. Urquhart's avatar

We should remember that the Iranian general staff is filled with bright people, just like ours. They have been fully aware of U.S. overwatch for decades. It gives us tremendous advantages, but it also means we bomb a lot of styrofoam missiles with expensive ordinance. It’s how we destroyed ‘92% of their capacity’ while their missiles kept falling from the sky. The fog of war is thick.

Frank Lee's avatar

Come on man. This isn't right. The explanation is the liberal claim of TACO... Trump always chickens out!

Because Trump and his administration of non-woke, non-DEI professionals are just a bunch of unqualified MAGA people.

Richard Pate's avatar

Well that all sounds credible, impressive and compelling. Clearly death is only moments away for Iran once bombing resumes.

Only, the forces amassed failed to land decisive blows over a full 5 weeks of sustained operations. They certainly rained down blows, but could not compel the opponent to stop fighting.

The article, well researched and good reading, gives the impression that the contest is over. Which is pretty much what we all thought at the outset of hostilities.

Time will tell I suppose. Maybe just worth remembering that Iran has been consistently underestimated.

Andy Battaglia's avatar

A lot of words to tell us that you should be dropped into Iran without a parachute.

Tony Ledsham's avatar

More lazy, hack journalism that reeks of AI, relying on MSM and social media;

“You have sealed underground missile bases by collapsing their tunnel entrances. You have destroyed air defense batteries, weapons factories, and naval vessels. And yet, by the end of those 5 weeks, you know that roughly half of the enemy’s missile launchers survived, many of them buried alive under rubble you created.”

The Iranians backfilled their own tunnel entrances with boulders so that penetrator munitions could not get through the doors. The Americans said they wiped out Iran’s nuclear facilities, but there is no munition on earth (including nuclear) which can penetrate 150m of granite.

Why are the Iranians digging out the entrances now? Because they have rebuilt their air defence systems, after having been sabotaged by Mossad agents on the ground. They can detect and engage even stealth aircraft, using L band radars and EO sensors. They have airborne loitering A/A drones.

Give up folks - the mighty US military has been humbled and beaten. It’s time to lick the wounds and get out of the sandbox.

This rosy assessment leaves out the fact that Iran has had years to plan for this war.

The Islamic Guard regime may enforce stone age laws against the civilian population but they are not stupid, and neither are the Chinese.

During the last two weeks before the ceasefire, Israeli propaganda was spreading recordings of ceaseless rocket attacks, employing cluster bomb warheads against Jewish cities. Western media and Al Jazeera confirmed the attacks.

This says 2 things:

1. Israel (and the US) are running low on munitions. The THAAD batteries backing up the “Iron Dome” were deployed with gusto during the initial days, but intelligence reports indicate Iran was heavily mixing decoys with armed warheads. An Iron Dome projectile costs $50,000. A THAAD rocket costs $12 million a pop.

Multiple sources suggest the supply of both has been severely reduced.

2. Iran has hypersonic missiles, but they have been deployed sparingly. I have not seen any evidence those launchers have been destroyed which suggests they are mobile.

This report says the US is watching closely as the IRGC rehabilitates damaged facilities, and I am sure they are. I am also sure the IRGC knows this.

Given their penchant for deploying decoy munitions, isn’t it likely that they are painting targets they want to draw fire upon?

And isn’t it also likely that they will position their air defenses to where they expect Amerisrael to focus attacks?

Our military commanders have a solid history of underestimating our enemies. I am not anywhere close to being as confident as this report suggests we are.
