How stupid was I? I thought that Antifa had spurred the violence on Jan. 6. Nah, probably more likely it was our own wonderful FBI and related agencies (although Antifa, FBI, etc. are evidently one and the same).

January 6 became an “insurrection” the same way Russiagate became a conspiracy—by declaration, repetition, and suppression of inconvenient facts. The label came first because the label was the weapon. Once you call it a coup, anything becomes justified: censorship, pretrial punishment, destroyed evidence, and selective prosecution. Strip away the rhetoric and what remains is a riot that embarrassed institutions that failed their basic security duties—and then lied to cover it up. The myth endured because it was useful, not because it was true. Five years later, the panic narrative has collapsed under its own weight. All that’s left is propaganda pretending to be history.

It was a rally that devolved into a riot. The rally was held to grow interest in exposing a corrupted voting system. The election was stolen and we still haven’t solved the problem of one citizen voter casting one ballot.

When the Constitution is being pissed on in full display, a riot is surely justified - IMHO.

Sorry, Nope. Law doesn’t work that way. We are a nation of law, rioting is lawlessness. Democrats love to applaud lawlessness. Are you for anarchy? Insurrection?? Trying to run over ICE agents is not about free speech.

An indictment of Hussein Obama for treason would be a good start.

If the claims about destroyed evidence are accurate, I think the timeline is critical. When did this happen, and under what authority? Was it before or after the House changed hands?

If laws were broken, accountability matters regardless of party. If no laws were broken and this was simply a political decision made by a House majority, that distinction should be made clear.

Either way, clarity matters more than rhetoric.

This is another example of the tragic consequences of Dem's dark political actions. One of your conclusions, "He should direct the government to pay reasonable legal fees incurred by those who did not commit violent acts. And he should appoint a special master to oversee settlements," touches on a subtopic that should have been given more coverage: the suffering and treatment of those who were arrested and who languished in a DC prison and elsewhere without recourse to legal protections and procedures. This event and the September 11, 2012, assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi are two indelible stains in the history of our republic and should never be forgotten.

This is an excellent description of what happened and what followed. Nancy Pelosi had the National Guard at her command as early as 11 a.m. on Jan 6, but did not call for them. The government refused for seven months to identify the cop, Michael Byrd, who killed Ashli Babbitt and hid him and his dog in government quarters designated for high-ranking military. Byrd, who went unpunished for leaving his loaded weapon in a public bathroom, runs a daycare from his home.

And today the House Democrats are having a fact finding session (again) and how Trump issuing pardons needs a thorough investigation among other transgressions!

Shutting down the government for 42 days, an extended holiday vacation and top of mind after finally returning to work this is the first thing on the Democrats agenda!

Total hypocrits just as Amuse so aptly wrote.

Our mistake was to not define the BLM riots etc. as a real danger to democracy and every year on the day it started hold annual hearings and expose the damages and injuries of more than 2,000 law enforcement personnel.

Co-opting the Jan 6th protest by government actors was a deliberately orchestrated plan, hatched by the Deep State operatives to, first, crush any dissent over the most obviously stolen election in this country’s history, and second, via the national roundup and kangaroo court trials of Jan 6th protestors, to strike fear in the greater populace over even daring to talk about the election being rigged. Protecting the LIE surrounding that election was absolutely essential to the Democrats.

And they didn’t stop there: they went on to institute one of the most egregious unconstitutional censorship projects ever in American history, purging any all dissent against the state, (falsely targeted and defined as mis-, mal-, and dis- information), until Musk bought Twitter and blew the doors off the project, exposing the extraordinary abuse of the Constitutional rights of Americans speech, which was wholly engineered and driven by the government itself.

It would be nice if someone would go to jail.

Someone should definitely write a book cataloguing the horrors American citizens were subjected to during the reign of the illegitimate Biden administration. They could title it, “The Attempted Assassination of the US Republic”.

It was the politics of humiliation and ultimate censorship through violence that killed Ashli Babbitt an American veteran, who attended the rally to support Trump.

Excellent piece, thank you! Well reasoned and completely on target. I’ll be re-stacking this in hopes others will be educated or at least exposed to this thoughtful and much needed analysis. I remember thinking that day five years ago, before anything even happened, that some protesters were walking into an obvious and avoidable trap. I hope one day the full extent of federal involvement becomes known and exposed.

The insurrection began on 11/3-11/4 overnight and continued until 1/20/25. Don’t anyone kid themselves. It had the cooperation of those who weren’t insurrectionists but rather institutionalists who wanted to tamp down chaos - ie, the cowardly Supreme Court refusal to end hear Texas’ lawsuit which was joined by 21 states. DJT is getting to the bottom of it. Lots of forces trying to keep it hidden assisted by TDS addled maniacs and cynical Democrat politicians as well as Republicans kissing the Democrats’ rear ends for the illusion and scraps of power. It’s a cancer on th republic and there must be justice for it. Must be excised like a cancerous tumor or it will kill the Republic.

It actually began in 2015 when our future President came down the elevator.

London, the Vatican, Obama and biden trembled. And they decided from that moment that he could NOT win …….and when he did, they would impeach him or kill him.

Obama is STILL trying to rule through Starmer and Carnie…..
