Part of the problem is that accurate history is not taught in public schools any longer. It's all revisionist history with underlying grievance politics that is pushed. Especially in CA where the schools teach about reconquista of the state (and also other parts of the southwestern US), to return land to Mexico. The teachers lead students in parades flying Mexican flags and tell them the US stole the land. I've seen it many times. You cannot debate with these people. They will not listen to facts.

Wow, truthful and a schooling of another talent acting like a dolt. She needs to stick to singing. Unfortunately the more these Hollywood and Entertainment people let us know where they stand politically, the harder it is for me to separate their movies/music from their person.
I vote we build the southern border wall north on the eastern borders of California, Oregon and Washington all the way to Canada and give it all to Mexico. Minnesota and Michigan can go to Canada.
My family has a picture of my grandfather and siblings (and others) on the steps of the one-room schoolhouse they attended. Also in the picture are several Native American kids from the area. All are shoeless and ragged.

Just as the native people ( American Indians ) bartered , fought , killed and claimed the property was theirs the European settler did the same .
