People do not understand that a great many criminal cases end with plea deals for numerous reasons, such as a teenager refusing to be humiliated by a criminal defense attorney a second time. (And don't even try to tell me I don't know that is what happened—that's what those slimeballs do.)

I read today that Talarico, 37, who wants to be governor of Texas, has only one checking account and it is with his mother. What else does anyone need to know about him?

Eric McFadden's avatar

Could it be he takes care of his Mother? Is this the best ya got?

Susan Daniels's avatar

Is that the best ya got?

Eric McFadden's avatar

That’s not how it’s played. Answer the question. Who cares if he has a checking account with his Mother. That is sweet. Maybe he is fragile with his money. I’m sure he is not grifting those he represents like Donald Trump is fleecing America.

Don’t make uninformed comments and expect it to go unnoticed.

Look in the mirror and don’t make uninformed comments.

Somehow, I think that abusing and exploiting children comes naturally to Talarico. Color me not surprised.

Let me guess, you’re a “Christian”? 🤦‍♂️

James Talarico, he of the non-binary God and 7 genders is a hot steaming chunk of intestinal feces. Hoffman will not only serve prison time, he will be labeled a child abuser for the rest of his life. He (Hoffman) probably deserves life without parole as do all child predators, but this is the real world, the world that freed OJ. Sometimes juries don't do what we want. That's also life.

I believe Talarico using a child's trauma and pain as a lever in his campaign sort of means he'll never meet his God, non-binary or not.

And I'm good with that.

Talarico is one evil dude. Pray that all Texas sees him for what he is.

Eric McFadden's avatar

Explain how he is evil. Are you an evil expert? Do you worship Satan?

Thomas F Davis's avatar

If you need an explanation, given the publicly available evidence, then you are probably evil too. I am not playing with you.

Having to go to bat for for Adam Dean Hoffman to swipe at Talarico screams desperation. Nicely done!

If you're justifying Paxton's handling of that case, - then using criticism of that to whine - You're even more despicably craven than I thought.

This is the real exploitation. A child abuse case is not raw material for a Senate campaign hit job. If Muse’s account is right, career prosecutors did what prosecutors must do: charge hard, try the case, respect the burden of proof, confront the limits of a hung jury, and avoid forcing a young victim through another brutal cross-examination when the child wanted to heal. Talarico’s narrative requires voters to ignore all that and imagine a Paxton favor-trade without evidence. That is cynical. The child asked for privacy. The prosecutors asked for restraint. Talarico saw a campaign weapon.

You people will even justify a man protecting a pedophile. How low into the filth will you go? My guess is pretty far.

Cornyn called his primary defeat to Ken Paxton, his “Liberation Day,” so I would make a bet that Cornyn will do everything he can think of to fight Trump and Paxton. Talarico stood by pedophile protecting Bobby Pulido who assisted his child molesting band member, a career criminal, who molested an 8-year-old girl. Talarico seems to gravitate to degenerates who care nothing about children. Pulido is a pervert himself simulating sex acts on his music video.

Thank you Mr Muse for bring this forth. I don't live in Texas but this is something I abhor. Any adult that uses a child for their own personal gain, has no business in the public trust. Texas please use your vote wisely. 🙏🇺🇸🙏

You don't think the problem is Ken Paxton giving a one day prison sentence to a man who admitted to anally raping a six year old for three years.

You think the problem is Talarico… mentioned it?

SDN's avatar

Of course, Ken Paxton didn't give anything. You know that. You're just a liar.

Simbro Fatarzo's avatar

Yes I would agree offering a plea deal of 1 day in prison to a violent child rapist is in fact not giving the people of Texas anything

Jerrilyn Colangelo's avatar

I’m going to answer you as honestly as I can. I don’t live in Texas, so I did go back to look at the case. The best I could make of it was it is not easy having a child testify in court. A jury could not agree on the facts. I believe this child balked at going back a second time. Sometimes we don’t get what we want in our justice system. I took it, that the child had to come first in this situation. Not to have to go back into court. So it seems to me that Talarico used this child for his own benefit.

Cornyn showed his despicable nature for trying to damage Paxton with this story, and Talarico has jumped down into the same gutter. Cornyn is done, Talarico will follow him through the exit from public life. Good riddance to both.

Talarico, AKA "Alfred E. Neuman", is now trying desperately to "walk back" who he really is, to get elected in Texas. Texans are smart, well-grounded people. They see right through his BS, and his progressive, woke-ass "Christian" beliefs. There is no way in hell that he wins in Texas.

I had lunch with an old friend, an experienced Hollywood Producer, yesterday, who observed that we are in a “spiritual” war. For those with even a modestly religious upbringing, it is hard to ignore the prospect that this is exactly what we face. The world seems to be coming to a point, doesn’t it? The Talaricos, Sanderses, Momdanis, the ayatollahs, Starmerses, Clintons, Obamas, etc. on one side and the Trumps, Paxtons, Rubios, (Franklin) Grahams, Muses, and many, many more of us on the other. What if this is true? On Perelandra, Elwin Ransom had the advantage of confronting spiritual warfare directly and undeniably and confronted it tooth and nail. Will we come this? How will we know?

Ike Yeadon's avatar

Just baked cakes with my Hollywood producer friend who told me that we are no longer living through politics. We are living through a final spiritual war.

Look around. On one side stand the Talaricos, Sanderses, Mamdanis, Hitlers, Boston Stranglers, Midnight Ramblers, ayatollahs, Starmers, Clintons, Obamas, Genghis Khan's, Soroses, technocrats, Dolly Partons, bureaucrats, activist art professors, social-media venters, billionaire globalist transhumanist vicars, and every egghead "Rhodes Scholar," with an M.D. and Ph.D. and decades of experience who has ever demanded evidence.

On the other stand the Trumps, Paxtons, Franklin Grahams, Muses, truckstop lizards, rage-farmers, "church goers," nursing home social workers, Golden Retrievers, barbecue nads, country smellers, kittens, Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa, ice cream and Jesus.

If this sounds ridiculous, consider that this entire diatribe is another low-effort thesaurus outing "written" by another coherency-deficient, Fox-brained internet commenter.

On Perelandra, Elwin Ransom knew when the spiritual warrior intercepted his pizza order, because he went hungry Our challenge, should we choose to accept it, is tardier. We must determine whether the forces of cosmic darkness mate our think tanks, NGOs, government agencies, and LinkedIn influencers. How will we know? And if we do know, will anyone believe us?
