The real problem is not the supply of oil, it is the lack of refining capacity. Ukraine has hit several refineries in Russia and Russia has imposed an export ban on diesel, ExxonMobil's Joliet Refinery was shut down due to a power outage, and a Saudi Aramco refinery was hit again by the Houthi's. We need refinery capacity, but in the US, the climate lunatics have been working tirelessly to shut down anything and everything fossil fuels. In the early 80's, CA had 42 refineries. Today, only 11 remain and oil companies are threatening to to close more of those due to Sacramento's hostility to fossil fuels.

This is great for certain products like gasoline and diesel, but the issue is that U.S. refineries were built decades ago to process a much heavier, sourer crude oil. The ability to process crude oil into usable products—such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and heating oil—hinges on refinery capacity. While the U.S. has an extensive refining system, it’s still limited in scope compared to the sheer volume of oil it produces. Germany also imposed so many regulations on energy intensive industry that companies simply moved their manufacturing abroad. This left Germans out of work and the GDP in decline. Now, Germany is at the end of its rope, as reported. Facing severe winter weather, Germany has decided to fire-up one of its mothballed coal energy plants. It may reopen other coal-fired plants in the weeks ahead. It will take years to undo the damage the Green New Scam has caused in Germany. Hopefully this decision to reopen some coal plants marks a turning point on Germany’s road back to sanity and away from the false science and fake claims of the greeniacs. Patience my friend. The market needs time to adjust. The price at the pump also doesn’t reflect directly on the price for a barrel. The Obama administration had 308 days of over $100 a barrel oil. Trump has under 30 days of oil being over $100 a barrel after nearly two years.
This is true, I heard that we were supposedly shutting off diesel exports to keep it here, but I have not seen anything more about that. Something with this equation stinks to high heaven...
