Apparently not getting the message, Wikipedia - to its credit - cited a long list of U.S. voter fraud cases, including several of those cases cited in this article. Think about ballot harvesting, legal in California. If that isn’t a gold plated invitation for fraud - legally collecting ballots which can be filled out by the facilitator and turned in AFTER the polls close and initial results are announced - then I just saw Elvis buying donuts at the 7-11.

Paper ballots are just as necessary as minimizing mail in ballots. Voting machines can be rigged. No matter how hard we try to make the voting machines un-riggable, it will ALWAYS be a game of cat and mouse, and the cat will always win often enough that the cat eats well. Notice all the high profile headlines of very secure government servers getting hacked? Notice the never ending updates for your operating system to stop neverending hacking threats?
Why can’t I log in after voting and see my ballot? After all, I can see my gas bill and Amazon purchases. Is that too much to ask a government that sends people into outer space?
The Democratic Party is the Party of Power because Politics is Power and that’s all. In 200 years the Democratic Party has never confused the issue of power with Constitution, Law, Oath, decency and fought a Civil War over the matter, as they then persisted in violence and intimidation, murderous gangs they won back the South in 1876. They then proceeded to build and consolidate power ruthlessly as they always have done and always will do while they draw breath. Just as their opponents are confused and appeal to the Constitution, Laws, prayers and FAIL with engineering level reliability. Even Lincoln would never have gone to war with the Democratic Party so they had to start the war against him. Then a Democrat murdered Lincoln and in a did regain their losses from the war- Johnson was a Southern Democrat.

When Spencer Pratt called foul in a local election in California, all of the headlines repeated the “Trump’s false allegations” mantra. They have perfected what Hillary Clinton tried and failed to do with the “vast right-wing conspiracy”. The difference maker was the media’s willingness to frame the issue using DNC talking points. Even the complicity of judges who improperly dismissed cases to prevent legitimizing any evidence of fraud was made possible by air cover supplied by our corrupt media. I don’t know how we fix it, but the outsized role of partisan media must be addressed in the solution.
In my lifetime I have seen elections stolen in local , state + federal elections. Nothing will ( I hope ) ever be a greater example of a National Stolen Election than Joe Biden who couldn’t put together a 10 car rally getting the most votes EVER CAST FOR A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ! The only way to stop the cheating is by CASTING IN PERSON WITH AN I D ! Both of which DEMORATS are dead set against ! I WONDER WHY !
I believe the main significant difference is "virtually UNLUMITED BALLOT PRINTING" (ballots available). This happened for the first time for the 2020 election...it is set-up now. that is what made the real difference. All the other false flags (lies), and minor spoken manipulations (lies, innuendos, book banning/hidden) are weak, compared to unlimited printed ballots made available.

What’s a realistic path toward a comprehensive solution?
In person with some exceptions, pre registration and proof of citizenship, and on site ID to confirm who the voter is. It’s not rocket science.
